Merican Lancer Chassis Number One Finished

I have finally finished tank one the Primaris.
The Lancers being a Terran raised regiment have close ties with Mars.
That is my reasoning behind using the Mars chassis and Ryza Turret.
I added AK Interactive lenses for the Light and Targeter on the left side of the turret and one for the laser designator on the right side of the turret.
I replaced the co-ax heavy stubber with a turned brass 1:24 scale German machine gun barrel.
I used sheet styrene and bits of brass etch sprue to make the Panzer style turret shield

Heresy Workshops hits 100,000

My blog reached a big milestone for me today.
Heresy Workshop has achieved 100,000 views.
Wow,A big thank you from me,I guess someone out there likes my models.
This year starts with the Terran Imperial Guard Regiment the Merican Lancers.
This will be my focus for the next couple of months.
The tank company is starting to get wrapped up with just three more tanks to do.
Then I want to work on the mobile command Baneblade which will be a repaint and refit of my old Sons of Horus Fellblade.
As soon as I finish the Russes however I am going to do an UltraMarine one-off in honor of Know No Fear, one of the best Horus Heresy books to date.

Merican Lancer Command Vanquisher Primaris

Here is my pride and joy Tank number One.
I knew this being a Terran raised regiment they would have close ties to Mars.
That is why I went with the Mars/Ryza combo for this tank.
The Ryza turret is buy far my favorite with the co-axial heavy stubber.
I improved on this by using a 1:24 scale metal German aircraft machine gun barrel.
The turret, I used styrene sheet and brass etch sprue to make brackets for the Panzer style turret shield.
I have painted it and it is ready for the Winter camo treatment.

Merican Lancers Chassis Number 10 finished

I sure do like to jump around this is number 10 the Punisher.
I even found "Punisher" decals on the dust decal sheet.
This one is an infantry support tank so I gave him fenders for the troops to ride on.
More packs than boxes, ammo cans, that sort of thing.

Merican Lancers XO's chassis number 2 finished

This is the Executive Officers tank number 2 the Secundus
I gave the XO a Crusade Era relic as the finish portrays.
I added 24 Gauge wire to the plasma cannon to give it a little more substance.
Once again I am using the techniques found in Mig Jimenez's F.A.Q. 2
The definitive guide on weathering models.

Merican Lancers Chassis Number 8 Finished

I like painting these guys out of order.
I wanted my Exterminator to be the point man scout tank.
Because you have to be nuts to be a point man this crew is known as the "Crazy Eights".
If you look closely under the turret you can see I added lift points so he can be airlifted into spots normally unreachable.
Since he tends to operate forward from the main group I added advanced comms super detailed with 24 gauge wire.
I also did away with the storage chest and modeled a supercharger to the two exhausts.
Just for fluff purposes and the rule of cool.
I also gave him an H/K missile to deal with any heavy surprises.
This tank is also going to get a special commander for the turret.
