Renegade Ogryn with Ripper-gun conversion

I recently purchased a few of Forge World's renegade ogryn.

They are great models very brutal looking.

The problem is none of them are modeled with a Ripper-gun they all have only CC weapons.

To remedy this I used the GW Bone 'Ed and converted him to match Forge Worlds stuff.

I used green stuff, plastic tube and rod along with DragonForge's pewter cabling to make the
conversion, along with the Redeemer's inferno cannon fuel tanks for his backpack.

Captured Heavy Weapons Team Pt 2

Here are the other two models in the unit.

A mortar being manned by wretches and my favorite.

The Slave master standing over a wincing Guard Captain.

Blood Pact Captured Heavy Weapon Team

My client has a great idea for a theme for his heavy weapon squad's mortar team.

Loyal Guardsmen and wretches being driven by a slave master.

This is the first mortar team with a very banged up guardsmen with ammo wretch

I use my custom barbed wire for the basing I make myself.

Kharn the Betrayer

Here is Kharn the Betrayer.

I have been working on him little by little for a while now.

He is completed enough to show, but still needs work.

I went with a tarnished Verde-Gris on the brass of his armor to show he has been kicking it for ten thousand years.

Finished Blood Pact Champion

Here he is finally completed.

I love the way he turned out,I wish I had him when I went to the Golden Daemon.

Four more just like him might of placed.

I washed the gold on the base with Leviathan Purple then used Vallejo Verdi-Gris glaze to corrode it.

I used MIG Industrial City Dirt and various rust colored powders to bring the base up to the level of the mini.

As everyone knows a good base can easily make or break a mini.
Next will be the banner bearer that comes with the command kit.

Blood Pact Champion Pt1

I have an ongoing Blood Pact commission that has relit the fire to redo my own.

The first piece is a Blood Pact Champion that is in progress.

I am finished with the mini and am now starting on his base.

I was going for a burn victim look with his right eye destroyed by it and now is a milky orb like a cataract.

I used Tamiya Red Clear plus Blood Red and a dot of Black for the blood which I used an old toothbrush to splatter on his sword arm and face.

Talos the Soul Hunter

Here is my take on Talos from Soul Hunter.

I used Forge World and GW bits to recreate him.
I am trying to do something really cool with him ,watch this space.

SuperFuzz "Super...Super,Super,Super"

Back in Rouge Trader, Marines were a bit more normal.

They were still superhuman, but more like juiced up psycho killers rather than the More Human than Human they are today.

The Marines interacted with humans on an everyday almost equal level.

This was probably a casualty of that storyline, the Military Policeman.

I used the Forge World Mk6 kit and based him at a checkpoint.

I grabbed the Field Police paint scheme straight from the Rouge Trader source book.

The Heretical Inquisitor Heldane

It is no secret my Favorite 40k book of all time is the Eisenhorn Omnibus.

There is a great character who tries to steal Eisenhorns Daemonhost.

Inquisitor Golesh Constantine Pheppos Heldane.

I used a skeleton horse head, cabling, and g/s and the body of a crusader.

One of these days I have the greatest Inquisition force in the making,I just need to put it together someday.

Pumice Paste Basing

I always troll through art supply stores.

The other day there was a sale for a product that looked alot like Vallejo Lava.

A jar of pumice paste used to add texture to canvas.
It comes in Fine,Coarse, and Super Coarse

This stuff dries to a rock hard surface and is sticky enough to stick to any base.

This is a great way to make realistic looking slotta bases without gaps.

Take a small amount of paste and a little paint of your desired color,I am using Charadon Granite.

Mix thoroughly and spread onto base.

While wet sprinkle a little bit of hobby sand to add varied texture and add a small rock if you like.

Let dry overnight and you have a great base ready to use.

Retro Rogue Trader Space Marines

In my new love for the new Forgeworld kits I have begun a project that excites me.

A completely accurate Rogue Trader Squad complete with Apothecary and Military Police.

I have chosen the iconic Ultramarines as the squad to base this great idea around.

So for the first one that is finished enough to show the retro Apothecary that has this awesome paint scheme that I saw in group pic in the ancient Rouge Trader rulebook which I bought just for this project.

Heresy Era Alpha Legionnaire

I love the new Forge World kits.

For the most part I do not think I am ever going back to the plastic kits except to convert the resin pieces.

I have a few different projects in the pipeline,Crusade Era Terran Dark Angels,Retro Rogue Trader Ultras and this guy,

My Alpha Legionnaire in Mk5 Heresy Armor like on the cover of Legion.
