Home Sweet Home, Once Upon a Time

I am very stoked to of found this model.

This is the USS Nassau LHA-4 an Amphibious Assault ship I once called home.

This was where I served the majority of my time in the Navy.

It might not be 40k but this is one that absolutely must be done.

Being it was once my house I have a unique viewpoint in regards to adding true scale few details such as railings and the nets that would catch us if we got blown off the flight deck.

I need to hit the hobby shop and order little 1:720 crewmen.

I need to add one smoking a cigarette by the Aft,Port Sea Whiz mount.

Blood Pact Sentinel Pt1

This weekend I couldn't decide which of the 12 projects I juggle to work on,so I figure I might as well just start something new.

I had a couple of the new sentinels for a while and decided to start on the squadron.

The first two are Armageddon pattern up armored and sporting lascannons.

The last I cannot decide whether or not to keep them 3 of a kind or make the last one a scout model.

I wonder if that would be a waste,if the squadron has to stay together, then I would think the other two would crap on the other guys scout model, snagging branches and making a lot of noise due to being enclosed in a cab.

But I added chainblades to both because what Khornite driver would not attach the 5 foot chainsaw to his rig.

Brass Scorpion

Here is a Brass Scorpion that I was given to paint up.

Mold lines aside,It is a very well put together conversion.

I might just build one myself someday, but mine would have buzzsaw blades.

Blood Pact Banner Bearer

First off let me get this straight not all Blood Pact in my mind wear Grotesks.

Only the Shock Troops and elites like an evil mirror to Cadians.

That being said here is the banner bearer for the command squad.

I used the Bloody Palm as a representation of the scarification ritual.

The rust on his body armor was achieved using MIG rust colored powders,

keeping the light colored powder toward the edges

World Eater Advisor Stra-Ken

I always planned to make the Blood pacts Col. Straken a World Eater Proxy.

He has the stats of a sick killer Space Marine might as well model it to match.

He has tons of bionics, plasma pistol, close combat weapon, and on the floor, old and used, his shotgun.

Being a World Eater this model has the obligatory amount of blood and gore.

Never Settle for Second Best

First off I want to say I hate the Aardvark Renegade Ogryn I made.

There were a couple off things that bothered me about it.

First was where the hose attaches to the mask and the eyepieces.

I used a bit from the lascannon scope and made a coupling for the hose.

When I ripped out the eyepieces they left small craters.

I filled the craters with Marco-Mark Clear and made them into lenses.

When I receive my Khorne brass-etch I will remove the eagle on his wrist and add the symbol.

Now I feel he really stands up next to the Forge world stuff like my first Ogryn

Now I absolutely love him.

Renegade Ripper-gun "Aardvark"

This is the second and last ripper-gun ogryn conversions.

I call him the aardvark because he looks well kind of like an aardvark.

But a very"Evvvvil" aardvark.

I used lascannon scopes for his eyeballs this time around and the other pair of inferno cannon tanks I had sitting around.
Lastly is a group shot how they pair up with the Forgeworld Ogryn.
Now I just have to wait a couple weeks until my Khorne brass-etch arrives so I can finish these guys and start painting them.
