Sons of Horus Sergeant Part 2

Here is the sergeant pretty much finished.

I added a Davin battle Honor on his greave to match his banner.

I have also added the alternate Sons of Horus badge that you see in the artwork.

I used some weathering powder on the base and his lower legs.

Next up is a Good Old Battle Brother.

Sons of Horus Sergeant

This will be the Sergeant for the squad.

I modeled him a few years ago when I when I first made the Sons of Horus.

He is painted over,(I made his silver pants, blue.)that the paint looks a bit thick but I thick it is

not too bad and once I weather him up a little I am hoping it will be unnoticeable.

The banner marks him as a performing a great deed during the Davin Campaign.

Little Horus Part Two

Here he is with a few more hours work on him.

I finished the face and filled in the script work on the scrolls.

He is now based with a Chaos warrior skull and slate from the basing kit.

I have also been working on the Sergeant and two Battle Brothers.

They will be more presentable next time.

Little Horus Aximand

I am going to enter a 4 man plus Sergeant squad backed up with an HQ.

The HQ in question will be none other than Little Horus Aximand

I used one of the Chaptermasters bodies, a space wolf sword,and a Rouge Trader era bolter.

I used the same head as I did on my Horus model , the bare head from the Chaos termie Lord.

He still needs fine touches but C&C is welcome.

Archon Urlock Gaur

This model was always made for greatness.

It was originally The Pan-Pacific Tyrant Narthan Dume for a contest.

It didn't win but ,I still liked using the Mecha steed.

Now I am going to use it to represent the Supreme HQ Archon Urlock Gaur.

He has a gun arm from the old Obliterators,head from the skeleton warriors,and steed and body from the WF master engineer.

I guess he is going to need a command squad to go with him.

Lucifer Blacks

The Lucifer Blacks were rare in the time of the Heresy.

These Stormtroopers will see dual duty for my Pre-Heresy Imperial Army(Vostroyans) and

If my Blood Pact Army needs a second squad of Stormtroops they will be thrown in the mix as 40k Lucifers(Yes I think they are still around)

I used dark greys for the cloth and glossy black for the armor plate.

I freehand a pentagram for the badge, fitting for a Lucifer I think.

Stage Two

Now that I have all the guys I need to fill out a basic and special weapons squad basecoat plus finished, it is now time for Stage Two.

Stage Two is where I do work in batches in this case Highlighting and rewashing all red cloth to add depth.

I also redo bad eyes add some freehand here and there and tidy up and last bits before final varnishing with Testors Dullcote.

So the first three to get the Stage 2 treatment are the Sarge,Vox, and Troop 6 from A Squad.

I have highlighted all high folds with first a layer 1/1 of Black Red and Carmine Red

Then a finer highlight of 1/1/1 Black Red,Carmine Red,Light Orange after which I applied a Baal Red wash to blend in the highlights.

I have also added the laser sights and chipped paint on the lasguns and shine to the gasmask lenses.
