A New Direction

I always remembered a post by BigRed from Bols that spoke of the many virtues of the Intros4 art pad.



Well I finally made enough money from commissions to be able to afford one.



I must say this thing is fantastic and I should of had something like this years ago.



I am now going through the process of self-teaching myself the various graphic design programs such as Photoshop and Corel-Painter 11.



The Intros I bought came with a software bundle that had Autodesk Sketchbook which I used to make this Picture of the Dread First Chaplain Erebus during the Heresy.







I still will be painting minis but for a while I am going to play with my new toy.

Ravenwing Commission finished

I finished up these two guys tonight.

I added MIG powder to give them that road dust feel.

Along with a slight touch of mud effects.

They were fun to do hopefully my client orders a few more.

Ravenwing Commander pt 2

He is about 80% completed at this stage.

A fairly straight forward ravenwing paint job.

I added the right shoulder checkerboard as a nod to the old artwork that is used on the Let the Galaxy Burn compilation

The last shot also has my old white scar mk2 champion repainted to be a Dark Angel

Here are a few shots of a Ravenwing Commander I was Commissioned to do.

I gave the bike the Chogoris County Chopper treatment adding long forks out of plastic rod

The Ravenwing Sprue is a great way to make awesome Ravenwing

Might have to make one of these for myself.

Justaerin Pt1

He are the first three Justaerin for the 10 man squad.

Falkus is the Sergeant for the squad I modeled all the special weapons for the Termies with these three.

The Combi-Flamer,Combi-Melta,and Reaper Assault Cannon all with very excellent Maxi-Mini Large Shoulder Pads to finish them off.

The only thing missing is Topknots for their helmets which I have to wait until I can get a few.

Falkus Kibre the Widowmaker

I have modeled Falkus with a Stormshield and ThunderMace.

I also used Max-Mini large shoulderpads which all have fit perfect so far

5 Five of Abaddons Retinue are going to be close combat monsters

First Captain Abaddon pt 2

I have him basecoated at this point with minor wash work done to the face and armor plate.

I need to make a good base for him soon.

Abaddon First Captain Justaerin

Here is my take on a Heresy era Abaddon without the fur cape.

I may still add the roman style tabard but I am not sure I think it works without.

I also have more pics of the weathered objective marker adding the mud splashes.

All that remains is the cape.

Heresy Era Imperial Fist Veteran in MkV

Here is a Veteran in the Mk V Heresy Armor.

I made this guy out of SM and Chaos bits along with Granht line rivets.

They are sold in railroad hobby shops and make for the best studs in my opinion.

I also used a 2nd edition bolter which they seem to use most offen in the Horus Heresy artwork.

Saving Brother Ryan Pt 2

I ended up having a few hours today to devote to finishing this piece up.

I have a bit left to do but I think the blood I have down is perfect.

It is there if you look for it but not in your face,a good use of where less is more.

I still need to work on the cape and add more weathering.

Back from Vacation,Selling RT01 Army

Hi guys,I made it back from vacation in Hawaii in one piece.
I is truly beautiful and if you can you should go see it someday.
If you were a Xenos player there you would have a field day with the seeds some of them looking very alien.
I have done a little more work on the objective but not enough to really take pics.
